Emma Mason is a singer/songwriter, recording artist and show woman from Leeds. Her music and performing career has been an eclectic and vibrant one spanning 18 years and Emma has played to audiences nationwide and internationally both as a soloist and with bands Galaxians, Lost Colours, The Do-Rite Trio and TC & the Swingcats. Emma learned her stage craft as artist and hostess ‘Em Brulée’ and is nationally recognised as one of the UK’s most charismatic cabaret performers. In recent years Emma has solidified her reputation as a credible songwriter and recording artist with achievements including a feature on Ghostface Killah’s mixtape, main stage festival performances across the UK and Galaxians features on 6music and BBC Radio 2. Em is a passionate advocate for gender equality in the music industry.

Leeds group Galaxians are a party band par excellence. Acts from dancefloors past and present are recalled in Galaxians’ rubbery boogie style, from the peerless early output of the TRAX and Sleeping Bag labels to punk-funk standard-bearers Liquid Liquid and more recent NYC acts like Metro Area. Galaxians formed in 2012 when Matt Woodward and Jed Skinner moved to form a group that updated the sounds of the 80s dancefloor for the modern age. Emma Mason joined the band in 2016 and her powerhouse vocals lit up the band’s 2017 debut LP Let The Rhythm In. Clash Magazine described the album as ‘[a] tour de force of exuberant club energy’. With a second album Chemical Reaction (part-funded by Help Musicians UK's Do it Differently Fund) due for release in 2020, Galaxians intend to keep putting in work until the lights come up and the last dancers go home.
