Brighton raised songwriter and producer Monkey Harper is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most prolific and hardworking producers the north of England has to offer. Since relocating to Leeds in 2014 he has worked with countless artists and bands, landing a Radio 1 ‘Track of the Week’, charting #12 on the Spotify ‘Viral 50’ chart, reaching number 3 in the Czech charts and has recently begun composing for various AAA video game titles.
As well as being invited on multiple international songwriting camps and collaborating with the likes of Thomas Stengaard (Eurovision winning composer) Frederik Thaae (Kate Nash) and Kasper Larsen (Selena Gomez, The Wanted) Harper curates and hosts regular songwriting camps along with Sif Jacobsen at their studio in Sweden.
Although diversity is certainly one of Monkey’s strengths, his signature definitely lies within electronic ‘Punchy Pop’ (as R1 DJ Scott Mills put it).
