BBC Introducing is a platform designed to discover unsigned and under-the-radar artists from across the country. There are 39 local BBC Introducing shows across the country that are aired between 8-10pm every Saturday. Artists and musicians have to upload their music to the BBC Introducing uploader and depending on where their postcode is will depend on which local BBC Introducing show it gets sent to. These tunes can then get played on the local show and be forwarded on to national stations including Radio 1, 1XTRA, BBC Radio 6 Music and Asian Network. As well as this, they can then get forwarded on to play major festivals across the country including Reading & Leeds, Latitude and Glastonbury.
