Who is eligible for the Music:Leeds Launchpad?
Anyone creating or performing music based in the Leeds City Region / West Yorkshire. Our support is geared towards featured artists actively performing, recording and releasing music - this includes electronic music producers and DJs. Our opportunities may not be appropriate for solo instrumentalists who are not performing publicly or recording as a featured artist, but we are working with partners to provide relevant support.
Who chooses the artists selected?
A range of local and national music experts and professionals, including those involved with our partner organisations will choose the artists selected for recording and mentoring. Where live opportunities are given in collaboration with a partner festival, they will have a large part of this decision process
Will artists be paid for the live performances?
All artists will be paid for their performance
Will the funded recording session be with specific studios / producers?
We will work with selected artists to support recording sessions suitable for their need, with the option for support to be added to existing bookings to maximise their impact
