Fran Bundey is a Leeds based sound artist and electronic vocal looping musician who likes to make a massive noise. Fran aims to inhabit the grey space between music and art. Her sonic experiments involve improvising with field recordings taken in outdoor landscapes, exploring how electronic manipulation can be used to re-frame these landscapes, questioning their concreteness and their future.
Fran also works on electronic pop music alongside her sound art. Her first three singles have been well received by BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and there are more songs in the pipeline for release. Fran is on the Monomyth Records artist roster and via Monomyth has recently collaborated with Sony on a music video to advertise their new film cameras with her track 'You Own The Truth'. Through the use of 2 iPads and vocal looping techniques, Fran layers up drums, harmonies, weird sounds and melodies creating groovy beats and vibey euphoric choruses.
