Muriel & Blazquez are a genre infusing classical pop duo based in Leeds. Under thebackdrop of serene harmonies and intricate piano parts, Muriel & Blazquez challengesocial rituals and the world around them. Previous singles (Skin /Veil Me and Moonbeam)have been featured on Fresh On The Net, Tom Robinson’s MixTape on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and Classical Classroom as well as other local radio stations.
They have been compared to the likes of Julia Holter and These New Puritans. Neil March (composer and moderator for Fresh On The Net) described their music as bringing, “...classical piano and voice into an ethereal, almost filmic pop setting”
