With a background in teaching and as an exhibiting visual artist, David joined Square Chapel in 2003 as a part time outreach worker, engaging young people in the arts. He was part of establishing the successful outreach programme that is at the heart of many of the developments at Square Chapel. As Development Manager (2008-2015) he was responsible not only for the successful Orange Box (£4m) and Cornerstone (£6.6m) capital fundraising campaigns, but also all revenue funding for Square Chapel and Orange Box. David was appointed as Director of Square Chapel in April 2016 following the retirement of longstanding Director and founder trustee Sally Martin.
